About Hippo's Friends Long Day Child Care Centre

The aim of our program is to support the children s natural curiosity, eagerness to learn and their love of communication with others.

Hippos Friends learning environment is designed to provoke curiosity and to constantly challenge a childs thinking.

The Service selects its staff using a comprehensive recruitment process in order to ensure all teaching staff have the expertise and commitment to enable our children to reach their potential both academically and personally.

We use the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), The Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum (EYFS, UK) as well as the International Baccalaureate's Primary Years Program (PYP) Curriculum Framework to guide our approach to teaching and learning.

Our program is based on the childrens interests, input and ideas, so they attain the tools needed to support their developing confidence.

We are committed to nurturing the growth of individual children, and supporting their needs and differences.

Our aim as a community is to ensure all students become resilient, assertive, independent and caring young children with the courage to make choices that improve their wellbeing and that of others.

Our service is open 50 weeks of the year from Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.
