Orchard Montessori

Orchard Montessori is a small intimate family run business that established its first centre at 12 Ballard Place, Maddington in 2010. In 2016 we opened our sister centre at 63 Wray Avenue, Fremantle. We have a dedicated team of staff who encourage parent participation to form a trusted bond with both families and communities. All staff are qualified and hold senior first aid, anaphylaxis and asthma certification. There are three rooms within each centre which focus on the three age groups, 0-2, 2-3 and 3-6. Within each room there are room leaders and assistants. We have qualified early childhood teachers within the centre who educate the children according to their learning requirements. The qualified early childhood teachers mentor the room leaders, assistants and oversee the development of the early learning programmes within the centre.

Each room is a prepared Montessori environment primarily made of natural materials which are tailored according to the age groups. The rooms are open plan which encourage the children to flow freely within the teaching environment allowing space to self-express through art and role play. The outdoor environment is an extension of the indoor setting and has been designed with sustainability in mind.  Materials were sourced and up-cycled creating activities to enhance the child’s imagination, promote their risky play whilst developing gross motor and social skills.
