About Mother Duck Child Care Centre
Mother Duck is a haven where children can truly be present, the way they naturally are inclined to be without the fear and distress of being rushed along. A context where children are encouraged to slow down, to learn to listen to what their bodies are telling them about when they are hungry, when they are tired, when they need to find a place of solitude to develop life-long skills around self-regulation. A context where children can enjoy the company of their peers, their siblings their educators as they develop empathy, care and respect for others.
If we can provide a context such as this for every child, we can support families at such a pivotal time in a child’s life to provide daily protective factors to support healthy brain development in children, building 21 st Century Life Skills and furthermore supporting their development across their entire lifetime!

"We could not be happier with Mother Duck Eatons Hill. We happily hand our kids over at drop offs knowing that they will be cared for by dedicated and friendly staff. All staff whether they directly teach/care for our kids seem to know them and take an interest in them."

"Both of my daughters love going to Mother Duck Eatons Hill. They both settled in very smoothly thanks to all the friendly and caring staff and are happy to return for their next day. The staff have always gone above and beyond to accommodate our needs as well, which made our decision to enrol our girls here very easy."

"For the past 6 years we have had the absolute pleasure of being part of the Eatons Hill Mother Duck family. My husband & I struggled to have children but after 11 rounds of IVF (and a lot of heartache in between) we were fortunate enough to have 2 children, born 2 years apart. I can only speak for myself but when you do struggle as much as we did the decisions you make for your children seem to be that much harder. Choosing a day care centre was one of those tough decisions. I originally had my son enrolled into a day care centre that was 2 minutes from my home. Was it convenient – absolutely! Was it the right choice for us – absolutely not! Every time I dropped him off he cried hysterically. After persevering for 2 months I decided to ‘shop around’. The word on the street was that Mother Duck at Eatons Hill was the place to be. The street was right…..
The first time I walked into the centre I loved it. The staff were welcoming, it was clean, the facilities were excellent, but most of all the kids were happy. I enrolled there and then on the spot. On the first day I dropped my son off….he didn’t cry! It was at that moment that I knew he was going to love it just as much as I thought he would. When I picked him up that afternoon he had the biggest smile on his face and that just warmed my heart. Was it the right choice for us – absolutely! Fast forward 6 years and I still feel just as happy that my kids had the opportunity to attend Mother Duck as I did on that first day. When you are not around you want your kids to be happy, sociable and constantly learning. Mother Duck have definitely been all of those things! They are the best in the business and I couldn’t recommend them highly enough."

"My children have been attending Mother Duck Eaton’s Hill for 2.5 years. We have always felt welcomed by the warm and friendly staff. It is obvious that the teachers who work in the centre love their jobs and in turn create a fun and comfortable environment for the children. In our time at Mother Duck we have always been happy with absolutely no concerns at all. My eldest daughter is leaving mother duck soon to start school and I am very sad her time here is coming to an end however the teachers have done an amazing job getting her ready for school."
- Kirsty Paterson
"We have been at Eatons Hill Mother Duck for two years now and both our children have thrived. All staff are caring, nurturing and very easy to talk to. The Centre is very well resourced and staff always go above and beyond to make our children feel settled, safe, secure and included. We could not be happier with the service provided. Highly recommend Mother Duck Eatons Hill."
