About our centre

Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Brighton - North Road is situated in a country beach side community, with the city only 20 minutes away. We have a combination of young families and longtime residents. There is a good variety of public and private schools with families involved in a range of sporting venues, water sports and fishing.

The majority of our educators and teachers live locally, and therefore have a strong connection with the community. Our pride in the centre is shown through the hard work and dedication of our long term educators who love to keep our child care centre looking its best at all times.

We provide a fun, loving, safe and educational learning experience for each child in our care. Our experienced Bachelor of Education teacher of seven years runs our Government approved Kindergarten program and provides a program that includes child based learning and intentional teaching that promotes success for school and life.

Inside, all of the rooms - from Nursery to Kindergarten - are all set up in line with an Early Years Learning Framework, with sensory and play based learning opportunities. Colourful, stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning.

Outside, we have vege patches, themes gardens and a herb garden to help the children learn about the environment and sustainaibility.We also have a cubbyhouse, sandpits, a pirate ship, creek bed, water tank, stage and rock pit.

Our families support us by providing critical feedback and input to collaborate with educators on their children’s learning journey. We also extend invitations for families to attend parent information evenings and centre events such as, parents and grandparent's day, our graduation ceremony and Christmas party.

Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.

Community is also important to us and through visits to the centre and participation in events and activities throughout the year we are able to enrich the learning experience. Art and music experiences are provided on a daily basis which allow the children to freely express their creativity.

Hello, my name is Hannah and I am the Centre Director at Goodstart Brighton North Road.

Hannah is a motivational team leader and forward-thinker. She is focused on building important connections with families and supporting children in their development and natural learning abilities.

We would like to also introduce, our Assistant Director – Elissa Anderson.
