About Westmeadow Child Care Centre
Westmeadow Child Care Centre is an employer sponsored Long Day Care Service provided by Western Sydney Local Health District to support the child care needs of staff with dependent children (0-5 years).
Located onsite at Westmead Hospital the service is managed by a Non-Teaching Director who is responsible to the Manager WSLHD Child Care Services.
The service operates Monday to Friday, 51 weeks per year excluding public holidays, providing extended hours care:
Education and care is provided for up to 55 children per day by experienced and qualified educators including Early Childhood Teachers and Diploma and Certificate 111, Qualified Child Care Workers.
Up to five meals and snacks are provided each day, cooked and prepared onsite by a qualified cook, catering for 80% of each child's nutritional requirements and any specific diets.
The education and care program is developed in consultation with families and is based on the Early Years Learning Framework: Being, Belonging, Becoming.
A transition to school program is implemented each year as well as a range of extra-curricular program events to support children's learning and to engage and collaborate with families.
