Conditions of approval

It is a condition of the service waiver that the service must comply with regulation 110 of the Education and Care Services National Regulations in relation to the enclosed outdoor space. It is a condition of the service waiver that the service must comply with regulation 113 of the Education and Care Services National Regulations in relation to the enclosed outdoor space The service is approved to provide education and care to a maximum of 99 children from birth up to and including over preschool age. This service is not approved to provide education and care to school age children. The service must not educate and care for more than 36 non-ambulant children at any one time (non-ambulant refers to any child unable to walk without the assistance of other persons). The Approved Provider must submit any proposed amendments to your policies and procedures relating to the evacuation of children (and specifically to the Kids Club Skytower Emergency Evacuation Procedure Rev 2 Sept 2020 submitted on 25 September 2020) to the Regulatory Authority for an assessment of adequacy, prior to the implementation of those amendments. As part of the requirement to conduct three (3) monthly emergency and evacuation procedures rehearsals in accordance with regulation 97(3) of the Education and Care Services National Regulations, you must, from the date of the initial service approval, engage an appropriate expert to observe and report on one rehearsal within the first three months of the services operation, and then at least annually thereafter. An appropriate expert includes a person/entity holding a QBCC licence in emergency procedures, a fire safety advisor or fire safety engineer. The evaluation outcome reports must include any proposed actions to improve evacuation procedures. A copy of each report is to be supplied to the Regulatory Authority within seven (7) days of its receipt by the Approved Provider. The Approved Provider must contact the Regulatory Authority seven (7) days prior to each observed rehearsal so that representatives of the Regulatory Authority may be present. The Approved Provider must submit evidence to the Regulatory Authority of the installation of smoke seals on doors leading into the designated kitchen and the installation of fire proof doors leading into the designated safe haven, prior to the service commencing operation.
